Description

Busy Downtown Medical Office / Surgical Facility looking for a hard worker who is fast to learn and quick on their feet.

We are a fast-paced office and therefore this is a physically and mentally demanding job, but you will learn a TON as you will be working directly with doctors, surgeons and patients.

  • Training is hands-on and also fast-paced.
  • Shifts at our office can start as early as 7am or as late as 9am, and can run until anywhere between 4-6pm.
  • We are looking for someone to work 8-10 hour shifts, on average 4-5 days per week, for an average of 35-40 hours per week.
  • Scrubs and close-toed shoes required but not supplied.
  • Can commute without issue - rain, snow or shine - to our downtown office (we are located above the Corona LRT station but sorry, there is no private parking for us to offer).
  • Speaks advanced fluenct English (spoken and written).
  • Is experienced and comfortable with computers (able to type at least 60 wpm) and other electronics (printers, scanners, etc).
  • Is capable of physically demanding jobs: we can be on our feet for 8-10 hours per day and are sometimes required to move or lift office equipment, furniture, or simply a jug of our drinking water weighing up to 40lbs.
  • Has neat and efficient penmanship.
  • Is outgoing, assertive and accommodating - you will be working with specialists, surgeons and nurses, fellow medical office assistants, and patients from all backgrounds so it's vital that you are proactive in your communication and learning.
  • Is excited to learn on their feet and enthusiastic to dive in head first
  • Takes charge of their learning and who recognizes that they are bringing skills with them that could allow them to start helping out immediately, even in a new environment.
  • Must be available to work over Christmas as our office remains open during the winter holidays.
  • Is available right away and flexible in your schedule - we are looking for someone to start immediately
