Position:
CI- Festival Operations Administrator - City Folk Festival


Contract Length: 26 Weeks
Start Date: ASAP
End Date:After 26 weeks.


Location:
Hybrid, Your home + Westboro office.


Job Summary:

Reporting to and working under the direction of the Director of Operations and the Site Operations Manager, the Festival Operations Administrator is responsible for assisting with festival operational issues, logístical needs, and office administration.


Responsibilities:


  • May order onsite supplies such as motorized vehicles, beverages, etc.
  • Helps review and prepare the Emergency Preparedness Plan.
  • May work with graphic designers and others to help with signage to prepare festival site.
  • Assist with setting up the onsite administrative office, logístical and operational aspects of the festival site.
  • Assist in overseeing a team of volunteers (gates, signage) throughout the festival period.
  • Assist with coordinating vendor logistics/setup and other logistics needs onsite as assigned.
  • Will help with sourcing, and will act as liaison, for all food concessionaires, craft artisans and vendors.
  • Work closely with suppliers and sponsors to ensure that contractual obligations are being met.
  • Postfestival: ensure payments are received and tracking is completed for 2023 season.
  • Postfestival: work on annual community initiatives and events.

Skills and Qualifications Required:


  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize; proven success multitasking in a high pressure environment.
  • Proven ability to think creatively and strategically.
  • Working knowledge of POS systems; advanced knowledge of MS Office & Google Apps.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team; excellent written and oral communication skills; French is an asset.

Additional Qualifications Required:
Eligible to participate in Ontario's Job Creation Partnership (JCP) program by meeting the following criteria:

  • An unemployed job seeker or those employed less than 20 hours per week (part-time students and graduates may apply)
  • Live in Ontario
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

Have one, or both, of the following criteria:
a. Established an Employment Insurance (EI) benefit claim (regular or maternity/parental benefits ONLY)

b.

Paid employee payroll premiums, i.e., employed in Canada, in five of any five of the last ten years while earning an annual income of at least $2000 (gross).


Remuneration:
$620 (gross) per week for 32 hours ($19.375 average per hour) provided by the Province of Ontario.


Salary:
$19.38 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
