Surface Land Field Administrator

The Opportunity:


Key Accountabilities:


  • Preparing rental letters, rental review packages for the field including calculation sheets and maintaining the rental review tracker for the District
  • Creating and sending pipeline abandonment notifications and 3rd party proximity or crossing consents (Supporting the Abandonment & Reclamation Programs)
  • Updating and maintaining a number of tracking spreadsheets for reporting costs and timelines (First Nations Consultation Tracker)
  • Updating CNRL's Field comments and information in our Wellsite Tracking Program (ETS) and Pipeline Tracking Program (Camino) for Surface Landman
  • Assisting with various queries for landowner contact information and file numbers
  • Assisting the Surface Landmn in tracking any Stakeholder issues (Community and Indigenous donations requests)
  • Coding of invoices for the District and entering into Open Invoice (ADP)
  • Providing support for Operations Superintendent as needed

Other Details:


  • Job location: St. Albert, Alberta
  • Shift schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off
  • Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day
  • Eligible for relocation pursuant to Canadian Natural's Relocation Regular Policy

Skills & Qualifications:


  • Completion of a Surface Land Administration program or similar preferred
  • Minimum 2 5 years' office experience, preferably in an oil and gas environment
  • Ability to obtain a Commissioner of Oaths
  • Familiarity with Rules, Acts, Directives, etc. relating to third party agreements
  • Experience using QBLM or Qbyte land systems, Microsoft office, Adobe, general computer skills
