Our Real Estate division manages the province's portfolio of government buildings and land, which is one of the largest and most diverse in the country.
We oversee the day-to-day operation and long-term maintenance of these facilities through partnerships with private-sector service providers. We are responsible for ensuring provincially-owned real estate is being used in the best, most optimal way.Finding innovative ways to reduce and revitalize the government's building and land holdings is central to our business and integral to the value we provide Ontarians.
What You Will Do:
- Provide strategic real estate advice and expertise to stakeholders and clients to ensure optimal utilization of provincial assets in support of government real estate objectives.
- Develop strong and trusted client relationships with government ministries and agencies.
- Develop, evaluate, recommend and present real estate solutions that reflect and support changing government program priorities.
- Working directly with internal and external stakeholders to identify and develop complex real estate portfolio opportunities and solutions, ensuring solutions align with government policy and mandates.
- Present complex concepts in a clear, concise and focused manner, in writing and verbally to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify, prioritize and align stakeholder expectations.
- Provide real estate advice and expertise to ensure real estate requirements are aligned with overall objectives and program requirements.
- Working directly with internal and external stakeholders to identify, develop, and then recommend opportunities and solutions for effective portfolio strategies.
- Present complex concepts in a clear, concise and focused manner, in writing and verbally.
Who We're Looking For:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in one of the following: real estate consulting, corporate real estate and strategic asset/portfolio management and/or advisory.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Real Estate, Planning, Business, Economics or related field.
- Certification or designation in real estate valuation, investment analysis, or asset management would be an asset (e.g. AACI, CFA, CCIM, FRI, MCR).
- Working knowledge of real estate operations and space utilization concepts and principles, doing feasibility analysis, and portfolio management with an emphasis on office properties.
- Understanding how the real estate market operates, including competitive forces at play, and how to collect and analyze market information relevant to task at hand.
- Solid understanding of financial analysis for real estate investments, including cost/benefit analysis, expenditure payback analysis, discounted cash flow, NPV, and IRR.
- Strong communications and relationship building experience, focusing on leadership, teamwork, negotiations & conflict resolution.
- Works well under pressure, is confident, organized, good attention to detail and ability to work in a fastpaced environment.

The salary range for this position is
$78,000 to $116,900 with a corresponding job level of
P4.
Employment in the Real Estate Division is conditional upon obtaining security clearance through the Program & Policy Enablement Branch, Supply Chain Ontario of the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services.
