Job Summary:


We are seeking a dedicated Az owner operator to join our team for Canada post dedictaed switch from ottawa to toronto and back same day.

5 days work


Duties:


  • Safely operate trucks to transport goods to various locations from Ottawa to Toronto everyday for Canada post dedicated switch
  • Ensure cargo is secured properly to prevent damage or shifting during transit
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
  • Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
  • Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
  • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as company policies and procedures
  • Report defects, accidents, or violations

Experience:


  • Proven experience as a truck driver
  • Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
  • No recent moving or driving violations
  • Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)

Skills:


  • Heavy equipment operation
  • Commercial driving experience
  • Experience in handling freight.
