HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE (Overview & Key Responsibilities):
The Order Entry Sales Support Specialist provides critical ongoing daily support for our growing sales team. You will process a high volume of sales orders, order acknowledgments, customer invoices.

It's critical that you have a high attention to detail and communication skills, when following up and following through on all transactions with customers, suppliers, distributors, & internal departments.

The Support Specialist will act as a critical liaison between sales and all other internal & external customers by validating pricing, checking status of orders, & communicating any issues immediately to all stakeholders.

Works with all supply chain parties and keeps sales and the end customer informed of any changes to their order status.

This position does require frequent visits to the production floor.

  • Processing of all commercial & retail sales packaging orders, customer purchase orders, order acknowledgments, and invoices.
  • Oversees all payment methods such as EDI and Credit Card while also inputting & updating critical customer information into the ERP to ensure all information is up to date and accurate.
  • Maintains and updates customer accounts with relevant purchase information, delivery expectations, or any other specific data.
  • Informs sales staff of issues that arise, such as a delay in shipping, or if customers have specific questions or complaints the associate is unable to handle.
  • Keeps customers and sales updated on any changes to order status such as delivery dates.
  • Works closely with finance, production, & shipping personnel on a daily basis to ensure customer orders are fulfilled and their payment to company is submitted in an accurate and timely manner
  • Corresponds with clients and prepares information for them about products being considered for purchase as required
  • Utilize and update our CRM and Salesforce
  • Assist with competitive analysis campaigns and other industry related research as needed

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Experienced in both domestic and international shipping procedures and terminology
  • Proven high attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 12 years of previous experience in a similar capacity
  • Experience in usage of ERP systems and EDI
  • Microsoft Office fluency. Overall solid computer skills, HubSpot a plus
