We are recruiting for an Operations Leader/Assistant Manager to assist with all aspects of running a landscape and masonry yard.
Experience working in building supply is a major asset.
Operations Leader Role:
This position, as assistant to the Branch Manager, requires the ability to over-see the team, direct training, onboarding and engagement with procedures.
The Operations Leader is a mentor, a problem solver, decision maker and respectful communicator.Our Operations Leader takes pride in the management of the team, customer experience and the Branch in absence of the Manager.
The Operations Leaders' Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and safe work practices of the Team
- Ensure the security of the building, yard and equipment
- Assists in overseeing the effective management of resources (people, inventory, equipment, tools etc)
- Demonstrates the company culture by example, and ensures alignment with team actions
- Oversees /delivers ongoing training and skill improvement, onboarding and daily (informal) feedback
- Supports the team in difficult customer situations and is seen as a levelheaded winwin problem solver

The Qualifications:
- Demonstrated relevant management experience (min 3 years)
- Fluent in English: Reading, Verbal, Writing
- Willing, available and enthusiastic to work early mornings thru early evenings in peak season
- Leadership training or demonstrated work experience in a team management role
Operations Leaders' Required Skills:
- Excellent organizational ability
- Takes initiative by being observant, willing and energetic
- A collaborator, able to build trust
- Confident and appropriately transparent allowing others to understand 'why'
- Excellent communication and computer skills able to train any employee on any POS/software used
- Able to provide constructive feed back and manage uncomfortable conversations

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Salary:
$22.00-$25.00 per hour
