CLAC is an affiliated member of the World Organization of Workers.We are currently accepting resumes for Administrative Assistants to join the CLAC Apprenticeship Support Program. There are 2 positions available, and the locations are to be determined. Both are temporary, full-time positions (ASAP - March 31, 2024).
Job Summary:
Under the direction of senior leadership and the CLAC Apprenticeship Support Program Manager, you will contribute to the national implementation and success of the 2-year ESDC-Apprenticeship Service Program Intermediary funding project.
This includes supporting and following all best practices, policies, procedures, activities and services essential to the successful execution of the project.
CASP provides nationally aligned wraparound supports and administrative services in the following areas of the apprenticeship pathway:- Recruitment
- Onboarding
- Registration
- Retention
- Completion
The incumbent will have strong interpersonal skills, can work independently and as part of a remote team, and can positively engage with members of the public, internal staff, employers and CLAC members.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide project administrative assistance, including:
- supporting local and remote team members in the planning, coordinating and executing of government-funded project activities, as required.
CLAC Apprenticeship Support Program operations assistance, including:
- executing administrative activities related to CASP in various provinces
- engaging/servicing CLAC member-apprentices, prospective apprentices and signatory employers
General Responsibilities
- performs all duties required while fostering a positive team environment that is focused on exceptional service for both internal and external stakeholders.
- supporting CLAC Training and CLAC Jobs operations, as required.
- other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.
Qualifications:
Completion of high school or equivalency education
Skills and Experience:
- minimum of 1 year experience in customer service, administration or human resources
- able to demonstrate a friendly and polite telephone and personal manner, punctual and reliable
- proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and typing skills
- experience with database management, scanning and document management (electronic and physical)
- experience with website forms and navigating website tools (including social media)
- able to establish and maintain healthy working relationships

- This position will report to Tamsin Carter, Team Lead/Project Coordinator, Training, ON
