    The Director, Procurement will be responsible to successfully lead procurement activities, by ensuring that business objectives are met and exceeded in terms of scope of service, quality standards, risk mitigation, delivery timing and cost.

    The incumbent will contribute to the development and implementation of strategic procurement and robust sourcing initiatives, as well as effective commodity –based supplier manager processes to support business goals.

    Responsible for sourcing, negotiation, contract management and supplier relationship management;
    Coordinate the activities of buyers both inside and outside sales related employees involved in purchasing materials, products, and services;
    Establish and implement department and team's objectives and priorities to align with and support the business goals, promoting collaboration and coordination of procurement activities with key stakeholders;
    Oversee and supervise employees, directing day-to-day activities, as well as looking after recruitment, training and development, to ensure a high standard of service delivery;
    Lead the development and implementation of sourcing strategies to achieve forecasted MRO budget;
    Lead cost reduction initiatives and ensure that effective control measures are in place to address purchase prices variances;
    Provide input and recommendations for the development and implementation of processes and procedures aimed at supporting the departmental vision for Procurement and strategic Supply Chain;
    Responsible to develop and manage the requests for proposals (RFPs);
    Act as first line of escalation for buyer issues related to internal support, parts procurement and supplier performance.
    Certificate or bachelor's degree in supply chain/ purchasing, operations management, business administration, or any other related field is preferred;
    Minimum of seven (8) years of experience in purchasing, procurement and strategic sourcing, including the development of business strategies or equivalent;
    Experience in MRO purchasing is considered an asset;
    Previous experience in aerospace, airline operations, corporate aviation industry, including detailed knowledge of modern aircraft;
    Demonstrated ability to build internal customers/external suppliers relationships to optimize operational performance and process improvement;
    Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities simultaneously;
    Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, Word, Excel, Inventory and ERP systems.
