Job Description:


The Event Experience Team Coordinator will provide support in a variety of areas throughout the event planning and execution journey.

The Coordinator will be assigned tasks and projects across a range of client events with regular guidance and consultation with the Event Specialist and Event Manager of EXT.

As a support to all major programming within the assigned channel, the Coordinator will work on multiple overlapping programs against tier 1 sports properties.

The Coordinator will be leaned upon to help deliver a unique experience that meets the client's needs, delivers against brand positioning and creates extraordinary moments for Fans, Employees, Partners and Clients.


MAIN DELIVERABLES

EVENT & PROGRAM MANAGEMENT

  • Participate through the EXT briefing process being able to be part of a team responsible for brilliant briefs and great outcomes.
  • Act as part of a team with the EXT Specialist and Manager to help develop and deliver the execution of event experiences.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments based on core working group tasks assigned by the project manager.
  • Participate in client relationships to help deliver on the client KPIs.
  • Effectively work with various vendors to ensure goods are received on appropriate timelines and process key documentation.
  • Effectively track budget elements passed along to the coordinator from the Specialist or Manager to ensure budgets delivered on target.
  • Contribute to the build and delivery of post reports to the Specialist and Manager.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

  • Contribute to the current assigned client group in accordance with the strategy of the client.
  • Help maintain relationships with clients, vendors, partners, volunteers and other parties.

DEPARTMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with part time staff to develop a trusted base of individuals that can be relied upon to execute EXT events with the same understanding and dedication to creating Brilliant Moments.
  • Contribute to relationships with key clients, vendors and partners to deliver best in class customer service.
  • Provide advice and consult within MLSE departments to promote key characteristics of EXT.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

  • Track any assigned budget management needs on a per project basis, focusing on delivering on target spends.

Qualifications:


EXPERIENCE

  • Postsecondary education in a related field or a certificate/diploma in Event Management
  • Proven experience in event management with a focus on special event planning & execution.
  • Demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, decision making and proven time management skills.
  • Ability to contribute to multiple projects with various timelines, as well as competing and changing priorities.
  • A selfstarter with a mature, professional attitude and presence.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Stay up to date on industry trends, contributing to the team raising the bar on every event created.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Highly organized and detailoriented
  • Proven ability to listen and understand direction while communicating effectively.
  • Flexible on scheduling, with travel, working nights/weekends and or holidays.
