The Business Solutions Representative, Acquisition, sells new business for a portfolio of prospective customers within a designated industry sector, geographical area, or line of business that have the potential to generate a minimum pre-defined revenue.
The Representative converts prospects to new customers by assessing and identifying customer business needs, educating customers on tailored business solutions, and developing successful value proposition and sales proposals that are aligned with Canada Post sales strategies.
In collaboration with Canada Post internal contacts, the Business Solutions Representative, Acquisition, assesses customer risk and growth potential and develops appropriate sales contracts, and action plans to acquire new sales revenue.
The Representative is accountable for meeting individual and team target sales performance goals.Responsibilities:
Below are the main job requirements and responsibilities for the Business Solutions Representative, Acquisition.
- Develops an annual sales plan aligned to achieve sales targets and initiates adjustments to the plan as required to achieve targets. Monitors the sales cycle activities and performance indicators to identify new sales opportunities and develop specific action plans to converts prospects to new customers.
- Develops and implements effective relationship management plans to build and grow strategic and profitable relationships with prospective customers. Builds relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers in all areas of the prospective customer's business. Keeps prospects engaged and interested during the selling process by promoting the superior value and benefits of Canada Post's products and services.
- Consults with internal Canada Post contacts to assess customer risk and growth potential and uses knowledge of trends as well as the customer's financial condition and business plan to develop appropriate sales contracts based on cost benefit analysis of the sales opportunity. Makes recommendations on the appropriate solution fit by identifying and assessing the customer's business needs. Monitors and reviews customer sales contracts and adjusts contract type and level as required.
- Maintains regular contact and works in partnership with internal Canada Post contacts to develop strategies and implement specific action plans to grow sales revenue.
Job Responsibilities (continued):
- Prepares and delivers effective presentations internally and externally. Creates successful sales proposals, businesses cases, and effective internal communications.
- Captures, maintains, updates, and tracks all information related to sales activities (including customer contact information, market, and competitive intelligence) in relevant corporate database systems.
- Gains and maintains knowledge and understanding of Canada Post products and services and their value proposition in order to sell both innovative and appropriate solutions which add value to customer's business operations and to increase cross-sell and up-sell sales opportunities.
- Directly accountable for achieving or exceeding individual revenue targets and supporting Corporate Voice of Customer (VOC) targets.
Qualifications:
Education
- Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma (Equivalent experience may be accepted in lieu of a Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma)
Experience
- Minimum 4 years of Commercial business to business sales experience
- Possess a valid provincial driver's license
- Automobile required
Assets
- Knowledge of Canada Post's Operations and Delivery processes
- Knowledge of customer industry sector and the competitive market
- Working knowledge of CRM platforms (i.e Salesforce)
