Junior Instrumentation Technician - Greater Toronto Area, Canada - Lakeside Process Controls Ltd.

What you will be doing in the role of Junior Instrumentation Technician:
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Follow direction and instructions from Senior Instrumentation technicians
- Onsite services including configuration, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Follow through with customer maintenance contract work.
- Consulting diagrams and technical documentation such as schematics, manuals, standards and codes
- Installing, configuring, calibrating and maintaining control, measurement and indicating instrumentation (pneumatic, analog & digital).
- Inspecting and testing the operation of instruments and systems to diagnose faults.
- Removing, repairing, adjusting and replacing components.
- Calibrating components and systems.
- Maintain sound working relationships with internal and external customer's personnel in various functional departments, such as: engineering, purchasing and maintenance.
- Help maintain and follow ISO procedures.
- Provide a premier level of customer service.
- Timely resolution of all customer concerns.
- Promote a team approach within Lakeside Process Controls Ltd.
- Perform other duties supportive of main objectives, as assigned.
- Promote services capability.
- Support additional area's of FS&S business where needed
Knowledge and skills required for the role:
- Diploma in a technologist instrumentation course or Apprenticeship Instrument Certificate 447A.
- Technician Diploma
- Prior Industry Experience in Process Instrumentation or similar
- General experience (13 years) pertaining to similar service
- Strong Customer Service skills
- General troubleshooting
- General knowledge on process control systems.
- Knowledge of health and safety issues and regulations
- Basic knowledge on measurement devices (Flow, pressure, temperature, radar)
- General understanding of electronics and basic electrical requirement
- General knowledge of process control
- Project Management skills
