Richelieu Hardware is currently seeking an Outside Sales Representative Coatings for the South western Ontario region.

Under the supervision of the Industrial Sales Manager, the representative will ensure the development of new customers and the retention of existing customers.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Promote the development of sales.
  • Respond to inquiries about products and services.
  • Prepare information packages and other necessary supporting materials.
  • Coordinate presentations and meetings with prospective clients.
  • Understanding customer needs and preparing service proposals.
  • Monitor sales and the achievement of objectives
  • Produce daily call reports.
  • Maintain updated information for customer records, prospects, and service proposals.
  • Contribute to the improvement of the development strategy and marketing plan.
  • Continuously updating all customers on company product modifications, changes, and enhancements.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge on new products, procedures, services, and tools by attending departmental and training meetings.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • College Degree in Marketing or a related field, combined with relevant experience.
  • A background in coatings products by manufacturers such as Chemcraft, Valspar, Sherwin-Williams, ML Campbell, or Becker Acroama
  • Knowledge of tools and machinery used in wood coating processes.
  • Knowledgeable of working with wood materials and surfaces
  • Knowledgeable about wet and dry film thickness, measuring instruments and other types of test's methods.
  • Experience in identifying common coating defects including runs, sags, blisters, pin holes, adhesion issues, etc.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Strong knowledge of Wood coatings Industry
  • Aptitude for matching colors
  • Strong presentation and sales skills
  • High level of selfmotivation, selfdirection, and selfdiscipline
  • Local market knowledge
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Basic computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, knowledge of Access is an asset.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, ability to work in a team.
  • Organized, autonomous, resourceful, hardworking.
  • Able to multitask the activities with shifting priorities, in a fastpaced environment.
  • This position requires travel.
  • Experience in the industrial coatings industry an asset, specifically in wood finishing products.
