The Opportunity

Responsibilities:


  • Enter invoices in accounting system for payments ensuring correct approval, coding and matching of PO's.
  • Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and communicate with vendors regarding payment related matters.
  • Enter receipts and reconciling credit card statements for all departments.
  • Paying vendors in a timely manner through ACH and cheque payments.
  • Record cash receipts and prepare weekly deposits.
  • Generate and analyze accounts receivable aging reports to identify overdue accounts and take appropriate collection actions.
  • Contact customers to follow up on outstanding invoices and coordinate payment arrangements or resolve billing disputes.
  • Supporting summer camp, childcare and after school registration during peak periods.
  • Updating monthly projection files for all departments. Complete any other workrelated tasks as required by your supervisor.

Skills and Qualifications:


  • Postsecondary education in accounting, with one to two years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
  • Strong working knowledge of excel and word
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communications skills, and previous experience working with senior management
  • Be flexible and adaptable, understand the overall goals of the team and actively seek to help achieve them.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work items with minimum direction.
  • Strong time management, organizational and interpersonal skills
