Key Responsibilities, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

  • Working closely with both our operational and corporate teams, to ensure that compliance is at the top of the mind for all team members and at the forefront of all daily activities
  • Proficiency within the Microsoft Office suite, specifically utilizing Excel to create spreadsheets using complex formulas
  • Knowledge of Flex: Training reports & Flex account support
  • Knowledge of Geotab: Accident recreation report requests & Speed reports
  • Knowledge of Employee driver files: monitor and mentor: Driver abstracts
  • Expertise with managing new hires & annual reviews
  • Knowledge of Toolbox meetings: assisting with developing content, ensuring overall compliance.
  • Expertise with Incident investigations: assist and audit investigations to ensure causes, and action plans
mitigate or prevent a recurrence.

  • CVSE: understand reporting requirements and work collaboratively with NSC Compliance

Manager when requested:
NSC, HOS, Licensing

  • Worksafe BC knowledgeable in legislation, supporting operations with navigating the act,
regulations and guidelines. Ensuring all inspection reports are entered into SEMS with action
plans.

  • Disability Management
- assisting operations with the management of disability claims and

working collaboratively with disability team.

  • ICBC ensuring all reporting is completed and providing guidance to operations when
requested.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management

  • Post
  • Secondary Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
  • Possess NCSO (National Construction Safety Officer) or MSO (Manufacturing Safety Officer) designation
  • Clearly articulate company policies and procedures & lead by example
  • You are selfmotivated, a good listener & an approachable mentor & coach
  • You drive safe workplace & exhibit ability to manage and drive cultural change
  • Work well under pressure to deliver message & articulate requirements
