This role sits within the Asset Management & Performance Team, with the focus on helping our clients develop their capabilities in load forecasting, asset analysis and analytics.

These service allow our clients to better manage and operate their operations as well as make data-driven informed investment decisions.

Responsible and accountable for the quality, timeliness, and profitability of output.
Client Interaction and Management both as a project lead and senior project team member.
Supports the Managers, in the selection of client engagement teams, development of engagement methodologies, work scheduling and workload balancing.
Lead the development and execution of asset analytics and analysis services within the electrical utility client sector.

Lead projects within the Asset Management & Performance team, including managing resource, schedule, budget and client expectations Develop models/tools to assist in the analysis of condition, forecasting, and investment scenarios.

Assist in the development of Asset Risk-Based Frameworks.
Assist in electrical design and analysis.

Mentor junior staff and support the development of training materials and carry out formal and informal staff education, training, and mentorship sections.

The ability and willingness to engage in hands-on consulting project work, including data analysis, research, stakeholder interviews, and preparation of final deliverables are essential.

Deliver on assigned marketing and sales of services within the BL
Responsible for contributing to the overall BL strategic plan and key initiatives

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, or similar post-secondary degree
Minimum 6 years' experience


Overview of knowledge and job requirements:
Knowledge of other Utility and Energy markets is an asset
Experience and knowledge in power systems engineering and asset analytics is a critical requirement
Knowledge of statistical analysis, programming (i.e., Python), and machine learning are key technical requirements
Project management experience is required
Industry designation and/or continuous education are assets

Familiarity of products and services in the following areas is considered an asset:
Data processing and data analytics products (Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI etc.)
Asset Investment Planning and Asset Performance software products (e.g., Copperleaf C55 etc.)
Enterprise Asset Management systems and systems of record and analytics available on the market (SAP, Maximo etc.)
Utility and generation company regulation within the Region, both domestically within Canada as well as internationally
Technologies and systems used by power system operators (SCADA, Metering management, GIS, CAD)
