WSP Canada is currently seeking to add a Project Manager to its
Hydropower & Dams team, within the
Power Canada division.

What you can expect to do here:

  • Manage multidisciplinary projects in hydroelectricity and dams;
  • Research, develop and maintain client relations;
  • Evaluate project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, including the earned value method;
  • Use and develop leadership skills on an ongoing basis;
  • Attend conferences and training courses to maintain and develop new skills;
  • Occasional travel for project meetings, site assessments, training and other purposes;
  • Support project management processes, including opening, closing and quality assurance processes;
  • Track change requests to ensure regular followup; Other duties as assigned/required, in project management and control, costs and schedules.

What you'll bring to WSP:


  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or other relevant field;
  • Senior level experience in the hydropower and dams market;
  • Member in good standing of the Professional Engineer of Ontario or be able to become one.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work;
  • Ability to meet deadlines, execute and manage multiple tasks;
  • Knowledge of planning software (MS Project or Primavera P6) considered an asset;
  • MBA or PMP certification considered an asset; and
  • Proactive approach to problem solving with good decisionmaking skills.
