Prestige Recruiting Solutions has partnered with our client to recruit for a Lawyer based in Toronto.

Our client, a well-established, Canadian Injury Law firm, is looking to hire an experienced Lawyer specialized in Injury Law to join their growing team.


We are looking for a strong litigator with an excellent academic record, significant arbitration, trial and LAT hearing experience, experienced working in a fast-paced team and a commitment to exceeding client expectations.

As a member of the Ontario Bar, you have demonstrated experience synthesizing complex information and crafting clear and persuasive written and oral arguments.

This role is open to insurance lawyers seeking growth and flexibility.

What You Will Do

  • Screening potential clients,
  • Investigating claims and gathering evidence in support of claims advanced,
  • Summarizing file information and evidence on file,
  • Documenting injuries and expenses,
  • Calculating damages,
  • Interviewing witnesses,
  • Reviewing medical documents,
  • Drafting pleadings, motions, factums, and written submissions,
  • Representing and counselling clients throughout the entire claims process,
  • Attending the License Appeal Tribunal, at Examinations for Discovery, Mediation, Pre-Trial and Trial,
  • Protecting clients from insurance companies and the legal system.

What You Will Need:


Education:


  • Law Degree (JD or LLB) from an accredited Canadian Law School,
  • Certificate of Standing,
  • A Law Degree from another common law jurisdiction,
  • Applicants who obtained their law degree outside of Canada must have NCA approval.

Experience:


  • Experience in Small Claims Court, the License Appeal Tribunal, and Superior Court,
  • Experience drafting pleadings, motions, factums, and written submissions,
  • Experience in conducting Examinations for Discovery,
  • Strong legal research skills and the ability to synthesize information into clear and persuasive legal argument,
  • Understanding of current legislation and case law in the personal injury field.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$100,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
