The Director of Admissions plays a crucial role in a private school's leadership team, responsible for overseeing the admissions process and fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
This role requires a strategic and collaborative professional who can effectively promote the school's mission and values, attract qualified students, and ensure a seamless admissions experience for both prospective families and the school community.
Key Responsibilities
1.
Helping students through the admissions pipleline.
Strategic Planning
○ Develop and implement a comprehensive admissions strategy aligned with the school's mission, goals, and values.
○ Analyze enrollment trends, market demands, and competitor data to inform strategic decisions.
○ Collaborate with school leadership to establish enrollment targets and admission policies.
- Recruitment and Outreach
○ Represent the school at admissions events, open houses, and community gatherings.
○ Build and maintain relationships with agents, feeder schools, educational consultants, and other stakeholders.
○ Engage with students located within the local and international areas to effectively deliver educational value propositions and program information via Zoom, phone, or in-person tours.
○ Conduct follow-up calls and written communication throughout the student life cycle to ensure student enrolment
3. Admissions Process Management
○ Oversee the entire admissions process from inquiry to enrollment, ensuring efficiency and a positive experience for applicants and their families.
4. Collaboration with School Departments
○ Work closely with academic departments, student services, and other relevant teams to ensure a smooth transition for admitted students.
○ Collaborate with marketing and communication teams to develop promotional materials and maintain an effective online presence
- Data Analysis and Reporting
○ Utilize data analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of admissions strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Financial Aid and Scholarship Management
○ Administer scholarship programs and work to attract high-achieving students through merit-based initiatives
7. Compliance and Documentation
○ Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards related to admissions.
○ Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all admissions-related activities and communications.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in admissions management, preferably in a private school setting.
- Strong background in sales
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Familiarity with admissions software and technology.
- Understanding of educational trends and market dynamics.
- Experience in Hubspot, Microsoft 365, AmpEd or Airtable an asset
- Experience or knowledge of the film or digital media industries an asset
Salary:
From $82,000.00 per year
