HR ADMINISTRATOR
Edmonton Central Office

Sterling Crane has an exciting opportunity to be an HR Administrator reporting to the Director of Human Resources Canada. This diverse position will be ideal for an experienced professional to support our day-to-day office operations and human resources.

This position offers many developmental opportunities while working on a variety of projects and challenges from systems management, administration, event planning and facilities management.

Due to the nature of this position, this is an office-based role at our Corporate Office located in Edmonton, Alberta.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Primary contact and support service for the company's HRIS software; ensuring it is effectively utilized to full capacity and data integrity managed and maintained.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of transactions, processes, system configuration, data audits, security, and reporting.
  • Assist with development and maintain intercompany employee HR resource center.
  • Support onboarding administrative tasks for new hires including office tours and emergency evacuation procedures.
  • Provide administrative support to digital files, forms, adobebased documents, and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Maintain and coordinate building access for employees and visitors including tracking and security system codes, issuing new and temporary cards, recovering, and replacing.
  • Ensure boardrooms and training room workspaces are set up when required.
  • Handle all catering requests including ordering, accepting deliveries, set up and clean up.
  • Coordinate and administer annual service award recognition program.
  • Lead the event planning and execution for all internal and staff engagement functions and event coordination including but not limited to; annual service awards event(s), family day BBQ, town halls, employee events.
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail and courier services.
  • Monitor inventories and procure all office, facilities and kitchen supplies, stationery, and equipment for Corporate Office.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma required, a certificate or college diploma in Human Resources would be considered an asset.
  • A minimum of three years of experience working in an office administration, human resources assistant, or complimentary role.
  • Strong time management, decisionmaking and problemsolving skills.
  • Experience with HRIS system(s), MPower or SharePoint considered an asset.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and customerservice skills, along with a willingness to learn, flexibility with changing work priorities and attention to detail are required for this role.
