This role has been targeted as a developmental role that would ideally see a successful individual progress within 1 to 3 years.


Position Summary:


In this role, you will represent Conagra Brands, a tier-one, consumer packaged goods company, at head office & retail locations.

This role has been targeted as a developmental role that would ideally see a successful individual progress within 1 to 3 years.

During your time in the role, we will partner with you to develop the knowledge and skills required to move into a CPG organization.

A detailed learning and development plan and associated timelines will be laid out, with targeted Key Performance Indicators.

New grads or those looking to start a career in the CPG space are encouraged


The Account Sales Representative role is divided into 2 key components:


1.


Account Management:


You will provide key business foundational support for brands/customers as assigned by your Conagra Team Leader that can include responsibilities such as: customer management, analytics, forecasting, tracking, planning, deductions, and retail communication.

Territory Retail Coverage:


  • You will be responsible for the selling and merchandising of Conagra Brands in grocery stores and mass retail channels.
Your role is to be the customer service and product expert To do this, you will need to deliver on the building blocks of selling and merchandising:

maximizing distribution, identifying volume opportunities, selling in and placing point-of-sale material and displays, maintaining call coverage objectives and executing brand priorities by building strong relationships with key store contacts.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Account Management:


  • Collaborate with crossfunctional partners to achieve organization priorities including; Merchandising, Assortment, Pricing, and Shelving priorities to life with your assigned customer(s) and/or brand(s)
  • Develop and grow relationships with key decisionmakers across the organization and at assigned customers to understand goals/strategies and collaborate to build their business
  • Analyze data to uncover insights to support category growth for assigned account(s) and/or brands
  • Contribute and drive towards solutions for challenges that may arise in supply chain, customer orders, customer payments, and deductions
  • Communicate and share Conagra Head Office communications with customer on items such as, but not limited to policy, discontinuations, pricing, product quality issues, etc. as assigned.
  • Relationship management within internal matrix organization communicating, sharing ideas, etc. with sales peers, leadership, and other functions as needed
  • If assigned, Maintain Trade Promotion Management tool for volume and trade forecasting, ensuring deals are entered, maintained, trued up, and back up included in a timely fashion
  • Potential for progression to include added responsibilities to; 1. Achieve Net Sales and Gross Margin objectives for assigned customer(s) and/or assigned brands within allotted trade budget using selling, negotiation, problemsolving skills. 2. Lead annual business planning, alignment, execution, and reviews for assigned accounts and/or brands that align internally with Conagra strategies and externally with customer priorities

Territory Retail Coverage:


  • Drive Sales: Selling and building displays, placing pointofsale material, PlanoGram compliance
  • Merchandising: Main Shelf, Displays & Stock Replenishment
  • Support new product launches
  • Check and correct distribution voids/outofstocks
  • Build relationships (customer service) with key store personnel this is a critical component of the role
  • Call Coverage: You will have a set # of retail calls to achieve every day
  • Product quality control
  • Gathering & reporting on field insights using an iPad

Qualifications, Education & Experience:


  • University degree, preferably in Business Studies, Economics, and/or related field
  • Relevant experience and/or Co-Op experience in Consumer Package Goods, Retail, Sales, or office environment an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Ability to make sound decisions and take action on them independently
  • Proven ability to gather, coordinate and utilize data to support business analysis and decisi
