The Job
Upholsterers are responsible for covering office panel systems with fabric.

They are responsible for preparing raw materials for the panels, using glue to adhere the fabric to the panels, and ensuring quality standards of products.

They are also responsible for consistently adhering to Health & Safety and Tayco policies.

Pay Rate:
$19.96 per hour

Hours of Work: 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM

Requirements:

Able to operate hand/power tools (drills, glue machines, etc.)
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Able to take initiative and demonstrate proactive problem solving in daily work
Able to multitask and adapt to changing conditions
Works well with others and builds effective working relationships within the department and Tayco
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and to carry, move, manipulate and/or position them, as well as move, bend, twist or occasional awkward body positions while performing work
Has good handeye coordination and muscular control sufficient to operate tools or equipment and see closely/listen intently in order to detect flaws or errors and achieve detailed results
Able to understand and follow established personal safety, security, and environmental practices. Is knowledgeable of and compliant with Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) and Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA). Must be trained in Health & Safety
Exposure to a manufacturing environment is recommended
