Position Summary

Duties

  • Independently applies advanced knowledge of clinical research principles and practice
  • Exercises considerable independent judgement and decision making, using broadly defined policies, practices and procedures, to resolve a variety of complex problems
  • Works with mínimal direction from investigator
  • Day to day coordination and implementation of research projects with attention to detail
  • Participant recruitment and data collection
  • Participate in crossnetwork patient engagement activities
  • Scheduling, attending, and engaging in research team meetings; building strong supportive relationships amongst diverse knowledge users
  • Assisting with the preparation of peerreviewed journal articles, posters/oral presentations and reports
  • Develops and maintains tools to facilitate and enhance research task performance
  • Contributes toward development of guidelines, procedures, and standards
  • Leads self and peers by conduct and example

Qualifications:


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree, or recognized equivalent, in a health or sciencerelated discipline with 2 years related experience
    OR Bachelor's degree with 5 years related experience preferred
  • 1 to 2 years clinical and/or professional experience
  • Holds recognized certification in clinical research (e.g., ACRP or SOCRA)
  • Prior experience working and/or communicating with vulnerable patient populations
  • Familiarity with conducting scoping and systematic reviews, metaanalysis, realist review
  • Previous experience in quantitative and qualitative analyses
  • Certification in clinical research is an asset (e.g., ACRP or SOCRA)
  • Knowledge of and sensitivity towards issues and experiences of disability and familiarity with patient engagement are an asset
  • Demonstrates indepth knowledge of research methods and procedures
  • Applies fundamental knowledge and understanding of research ethics and privacy laws (e.g. ICH/GCP, TCP, Declaration of Helsinki and FDA CFR)
  • Assist in coordination of patient visits and schedule as per study protocol
  • Interacts with participants to facilitate the completion of required research activities as per protocol and in collaboration with interprofessional team members, as needed.
  • Demonstrates strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Detailoriented
  • Demonstrates ability and comfort working independently and in group settings
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines
  • Experience with clinical trial coordination and budgets are strong asset
  • Affinity for networking and building personal relationships
  • Organized, selfstarter, able to prioritize effectively
