Description

Responsibilities:

Provide compassionate and personalized care to patients in their own home
Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel
Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
Assist with meal preparation and feeding
Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting if necessary
Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals

Skills:

Experience in nursing home or senior care settings preferred
Knowledge of patient care techniques and protocols
Familiarity with hospice care principles and practices
Understanding of dementia care and ability to provide appropriate support
Ability to perform tasks related to caregiving, including meal preparation and assistance with feeding
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
Compassionate and empathetic nature to provide emotional support to patients
Physical stamina and ability to perform heavy lifting when required
