Some of the activities you'll perform will include but not limited to:
- Identifying opportunities to continuously improve straight through processing, collaborate with technology teams to implementation improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Provide guidance on upcoming regulatory changes which may impact SPB or D
- Process daily borrows and returns for Sec. Lending via G1 and Broadridge
- Provides primary support for traders and sales/marketers in aspects of trade booking and position reconciliation process.
- Monitor new orders during the trading day to ensure all executions for client orders are received from market/brokers and booked properly in CIBC's trade capture to feed downstream systems
- Insure proper allocation to client accounts

- Product knowledge: swaps/CFD, cash equities & other listed & OTC derivative. Experience in equities and Prime Brokerage. Excellent understanding of European and UK settlement.
- Attention to detail & Analytical skills: Provide oversight of the hedge settlements, ensuring issues are resolved or escalated in a timely manner. Agree swap cash flows with clients and resolve discrepancies.
- Operational Functions: Manage Traiana allocations and post trade reconciliations for SPB clients. Provide operational client service to SPB clients. Ensure done with and give up swaps are booked in a timely manner.
- Effective Communication: Assist in corporate event queries and have a full understanding of the life cycle of a trade. Responsible for the CBOE ETR flow ensuring bookings are reconciled and margin is covered
- You can demonstrate experience 2+ years of experience in relevant industry roles. Showing understanding of trade processing, reconciliations, interest calculations, NAV calculations, data file handling, etc. A strong understanding of capital markets and familiarity with brokerage and clearing house regulations is beneficial. Previous experience in Mid Office or Back Office support roles within brokerage operations is an asset with familiarity of margin rules, brokerage finance and equity finance.

- You have a degree/diploma in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or another undergraduate degree. Canadian Securities Course, CPH, Options License, Futures License are assets.
