Job Summary:

As such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position. The Sourcing Analyst supports strategic sourcing, category management and operational procurement by providing analytical support to Sourcing.

Working collaboratively with cross-functional team members, the role provides detailed analysis, advice, interpretation and resource support within Sourcing by compiling and reviewing complex, multi-source Sourcing operations data for Sourcing projects, sourcing improvement initiatives and procurement initiatives across the health system.

The Sourcing Analyst participates in market research to support Category Management and or PHSA/Health Authority Program management where applicable.


Duties/Accountabilities:
1.

Conducts current marketplace analysis from all available sources and synthesizes information into effective models that support the decision making process in support in all aspects of Sourcing:
strategic sourcing, category management and operational procurement. 2.

Ensures accuracy of all data used by Sourcing by gathering data from multiple data sources and accurately synthesizing in order to support strategic sourcing projects.

3.

Conducts market analysis, facilitates financial analysis, rebate management and or case costing scenarios, competitive bid analysis and internal continuous improvement initiative analysis.

4. Prepares procurement reports and statistics to measure commodity and/or supplier performance. 5. Under direction of a leader, analyses data and provides input/recommendation for process improvement. 6.

Supports preparation of specifications and other documents using the analyzed data, to support the formal tendering of equipment, supplies and services utilizing word processing and spreadsheet software.

7. Other duties as required.


Qualifications:

Education, Training and Experience Graduation from a recognized degree or diploma program in Business, Health Economics and/or related field, two (2) years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
