    Senior Electronics Test EngineerRole:
    Full-TimeJob location: Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue/Greater Montreal (Onsite, Hybrid)

    Considerations:
    Only candidates who are able to be onsite will be considered. No relocation assistance will be provided. A valid immigration status is required.

    The Senior Electronics Test Engineer is responsible for design, integration and commissioning of specialized electronic test equipment for testing mixed signal (Digital & RF) electronic products used in satellites and other space-based systems.

    The chosen candidate will work closely with PCB designers, Digital (FPGA), Software and RF designers as part of a product integration team responsible for developing complex test systems and validating flight equipment.

    A dynamic work environment will allow for exposure to many facets of electronic product development and allow the candidate to excel in a well-rounded manner.

    ResponsibilitiesActively participate in the design of complex test setups and electrical ground support equipmentUnderstand test and validation requirements and make recommendations to the team lead to improve efficiencyWrite and execute test procedures for space-flight electronics qualificationDesign and build custom test solutions including custom racks, HIL systems, TVAC testing and instrumentation, cabling setups, custom test fixture and related apparatuses.

    Design specialized PCB assemblies, overseeing parts management for the test equipment and coordinate orders with the buyersSupport development of embedded systems, FPGAs and Microcontrollers and pilot the integration of such in the test systemDevelop framework for automation of test sequences and support implementationWork with the product design team and test technicians to review test data and produce compliance matrix.

    Support, troubleshoot and debug test equipment and flight hardwareProduce technical drawings, reports and other documentationDevelop experimental techniques necessary to drive product technology developmentPrepare and conduct test-readiness reviews for both internal and external stakeholders.

    QualificationsEngineering degree and 10 years of experience in testing electronic systems, high-speed digital communications (20 GHz+), and RF communicationsKnowledgeable in test automation and scriptingKnowledge/experience with MATLAB & PythonFamiliarity with CI/CD framework and pipelines (Jenkins) is an assetGood knowledge of various protocols such as RS-485/422/232, I2C, MIL-STD-1553, SpaceWire, IEEE802.3, Gigabit Ethernet, SerDes and other serial interfaces and peripherals.

    Understanding of analog and digital circuit design. Able to identify, troubleshoot and resolve hardware irregularities. Ability to interpret electrical schematics. PCB design experience.

    Experience with laboratory instrumentation such as oscilloscope, network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, arbitrary waveform generator, SPI bus analyzer, JTAG interface, etc.

    Experience with test processes such as thermal, vacuum, shock, vibration, dynamic burn-in, life-cycle, EMI, etc. is an assetStrong planning, organizational, and communication skills.

    The ideal candidate would be a multidisciplinary, pro-active, enthusiastic, and a result-oriented team playerOnly apply if you are able to successfully hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
