BC Cancer – Vancouver is the primary treatment facility in BC Cancer and collaborates closely with the BC Cancer Research Centre (BCCRC) and Vancouver General Hospital (VGH). The department comprises 42 Medical Oncologists known for their clinical excellence and academic contributions. The Vancouver Cancer Centre offers comprehensive cancer care services, including radiation oncology, surgical oncology, diagnostic imaging, pathology, oral oncology, and supportive care.
As a Medical Oncologist, you will deliver high-quality cancer care, particularly focusing on lung/head & neck and/or gastrointestinal (GI) malignancies. Preference will be given to candidates with additional research training or fellowship in lung or head & neck oncology. This role involves treating designated malignancies and supporting the Vancouver Medical Oncology Program and UBC Medical Oncology Training Program through teaching activities.
Candidates should have or be pursuing Fellowship standing in Internal Medicine with a Special Competence in Medical Oncology. Eligibility for medical licensing in British Columbia and credentialing by BC Cancer's Professional Advisory Committee is required. Clinical appointment eligibility at the University of British Columbia is also necessary. A valid Canadian medical practice license is a must.
