    Picture yourself as a Building Inspector/ Plan Checker with a municipality striving to be a City of the Future Using your related experience, you will examine plans and authorize construction for residential, commercial, industrial and institutional projects, subdivision, lot development, and site grading/drainage work. You will conduct site inspections of works and subdivision development to ensure compliance with BC Building Codes and City approved subdivision bylaws and guidelines.

    Qualifications

  • Building or Architectural Technology Diploma (or equivalent education)
  • BOABC certification – Level 3 (candidates with Level 1 &2 may also be considered)
  • Relevant experience in plan checking or building inspection
  • Professional Credibility
  • Valid BC Drivers License – Class 5
