Due to the growth of our business, we have opening for a Spray Painter/Sand Blaster
Major Areas of Responsibility
- Sand blast and spray paint products and equipment as assigned by supervisor.
- Work under minimum technical direction from the Shop Team Leader.
- Inspect work in accordance with specifications.
- Carryout prescribed preventive maintenance activities in accordance with scheduled check list.
- Minimize scrap and rework.
- Prevent lost time and rework in setting up and making repairs to equipment as required and notify supervisor.
- Complete work within expected periods of time with minimum supervision.
- Communicate well with colleagues and supervisors.
- Work at customers site in a professional manner when warranty work is required.
- Follow company health and safety policy and all company policies.
- Complete shop records accurately.
Requirements:
- Past experience as a Sand Blaster/Spray Painter in an industrial environment.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a metal fabricating industrial field.
- Able to handle all shop equipment including sand blasting, mixing, hand dollies, paint thickness gauges, hand tools and safety equipment.
- Be able to read basic drawings and understand written instructions.
- Ability to communicate in English (spoken, read/write)
- Ability to handle light to medium heavy materials intermittently.
- Have close mental and visual attention.
- Forklift and/or overhead crane operation experience an asset.

Salary:
$22.33-$27.63 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
