Working within a team-based maintenance department your responsibilities will include effective troubleshooting, repair, installations and preventative maintenance of the facility and equipment, essential in the 24-hour operation of the Paper Mill.

Employee must have Pipefitter/Steamfitter license (307A) or Plumber License (306A) with industrial experience.

Ability to work overtime/ call-ins is required.


Position Description/Skills

  • Replace and repack valves, install blanks and gaskets, install pipe hangers
  • Troubleshoot and repair solenoid valves
  • Fabricate/repair threaded piping
  • Work with plastic piping and tubing
  • Disconnect and reconnect piping to change out equipment
  • Basic pipe layouts and runs
  • Basic insulation work
  • Basic hydraulic/pneumatic troubleshooting and repair
  • Troubleshoot/repair control loops
  • Trace and unplug stock lines
  • Welding and Oxy/Acetylene Torch use

Hours of work
This position works Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:00pm.


Wages:
$40.93 per hour

Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly earnings. Work performed on holidays paid at 2x hourly earnings.

Benefits include, long-term and short-term disability, life insurance, drug, dental, vision and extended healthcare. The company contributes 1.5% of weekly gross earnings into an RRSP.

There is a $350 per year tool allowance, $200 per year safety shoe allowance and $150 allowance for High-Visibility clothing every two years.

Employees are entitled up to 104 hours of floating holidays (paid time off). In addition to standard vacations.
