Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Fertilizer Terminal Coordinator on a Permanent basis.

If you are someone who enjoys negotiating, managing inventory, shipping, receiving and storing product while working closely with suppliers, shippers and customers in a fast-paced environment, then this is the position to showcase your organizational skills

This position requires on-site work and is based in Hanley, SK_._


What you'll do:


  • You will negotiate freight rates and manage contracts to ensure correct product is pulled/shipped within appropriate timelines.
  • You will be the main point of contact and lead and present site inventory review calls for retails, carriers, merchants, and stakeholders.
  • You will manage the blending process and provide support in facilitating the efficient movement of fertilizer products.
  • You will be responsible for proactively managing all site documentation, including issuing carrier release numbers, work orders, inbound and outbound product documentation, invoices, and contracts.
  • You will process and record facility payables, track expenses and actual versus forecasted expenses.
  • You will be required to travel approximately 5%.

You will work closely with FCL Fertilizer Commercial and Merchant teams and will report into the Fertilizer Terminal Manager. This team strives to cultivate a supportive culture of collaboration, customer experience and work life balance.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in inventory management, customer service, communication, relationship building and:

  • You have a high school diploma or equivalent, preference given to Post-Secondary Diploma, or Degree in Agriculture or Business.
  • You have 69 years of a combination of education and experience in relevant progressively responsible operations, Logistics and/or administration.
  • You are familiar with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, truck/rail logistics and Railway billing, online scheduling system, knowledge of fertilizer, Agro products, and operational background running equipment and/or loadout controls are an asset.
  • You are organized, a self starter, strong communicator and are customer service oriented.
