Food & Nutrition Supervisor

1 Casual Opening; 1 Temporary Full-Time (May - Oct 2024) Opening


Responsible for ensuring that the daily food-service operations are provided in a safe, efficient manner according to recognized standards of care.


Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Responsibility for monitoring and ensuring that the nutritional needs of the residents are met through consultation with the Clinical Dietician.
  • The Foodservice Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that adequate food and supplies are received in the Resident Dining Rooms.
  • Responsible for staffing and staff replacement for all the Resident Dining Rooms/Serveries, the Foodservice Centre and Cafeteria.
  • The Foodservice Supervisor is a member of the Food and Nutrition Services Management team and participates in planning and policy setting for the department.
  • In the absence of the clinical Dietitian, the Foodservice Supervisor will be responsible for resident diet order changes and any necessary interpretations within the scope of qualifications of the Foodservice Supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Proven leadership skills, preferably in a supervisory capacity, excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are required.
  • You must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Software Suite and experience using a computerized food management system.
