Responsibilities:

Defect Reporting: Identify, document, and track defects found during testing, and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
Test Environment Setup: Configure and maintain the test environments, ensuring they accurately represent productionlike scenarios.
Automation: Evaluate opportunities for test automation and develop automated test scripts using relevant tools and frameworks.
Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing on mainframe systems to identify bottlenecks and optimize system performance.
Data Validation: Verify the accuracy and integrity of mainframe data by conducting data validation tests.
Test Documentation: Create and maintain detailed test artifacts, including test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging testing tools and methodologies to enhance the testing process.
Quality Assurance: Work closely with the QA team to maintain and improve overall product quality and testing efficiency.

Requirements:

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in working with mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and mainframe debugging tools.
Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools.
Testing Skills:
Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities to identify and troubleshoot issues effectively.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meticulously execute test cases.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Team Player: Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and contribute to team success.
Adaptability: Demonstrated flexibility to work in a fastpaced and changing environment, managing multiple priorities.
Certifications (optional): ISTQB or any other relevant testing certifications will be a plus.
