Primary/Essential Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and maintain the blast and paint booth and PPE
  • Prepare objects for blast operation according to procedures and instructions
  • Monitor the condition of equipment and tooling
  • Clean and prep surfaces using such processes as sanding, scraping and grinding
  • Application of a protective coating to a variety of metal material surfaces
  • Monitor extractors, drying fans and heaters
  • Board and mask material
  • Ensure all paint related waste is properly labeled, stored and disposed of
  • Maintain paint booth and associated equipment to ensure proper working condition
  • Ensure job meets all requirement before leaving work cell
  • Meet or exceed established production levels
  • Perform preventative maintenance procedures
  • Inspect all work before passing it on to the next operation
  • Follow all health and safety procedures for machinery
  • Ensures waste disposal is disposed of following our Health and Safety/Environmental procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
  • 1 years' experience in spray painting and/or blasting in an industrial paint booth environment is preferred
  • Past experience reading blueprints
  • Experience operating a forklift
  • Experience operating overhead crane

Physical Demands / Working Conditions:


  • Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs
  • Pushing and pulling
  • Frequent bending, squatting, standing and walking
  • Frequent use of various hand and power tools
