Divine Flooring is seeking an experienced Wood Finisher to join our Custom Shop team.


Primary Job Purpose


The Wood Finisher is responsible for constructing, staining and finishing numerous wood accessories for our sales locations and customers across North America.


Specific Responsibilities

  • Staining and finishing wood accessories to match color and texture of various wood flooring products
  • Mix and prepare finishing ingredients to desired colors or shades
  • Work off master samples of our flooring products to create consistent color formulas
  • Complete touch ups, where required
  • Conducting quality control on all finished products
  • Ensuring that work is completed in a timely manner and that deadlines are met
  • Comply with company safety policies

Requirements:


Skills Required - Technical

  • Computer literacy and experience with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Basic hand tool experience

Skills Required - Non-Technical

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to communicate well both verbally and written
  • Problem solving skills
  • Willingness to learn, patience and a positive attitude
  • Selfstarter requiring limited supervision
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Excellent teamwork and team building skills

Education and Experience Required

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Stain matching/finishing experience
