Responsibilities:
- Analyze projects for privacy risks and write Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) reports to document and inform decisionmakers of strategies to mitigate the identified risks.
- Review and advise on implementations as needed.
- Conduct comprehensive Privacy Impact Assessments.
- Revise PIAs prior to implementation.
- Create addendums to PIAs after implementation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience developing and delivering Privacy Impact Assessments and/or Privacy Assessments for technology solutions within the last five (5) years.
- Experience with Federal and Provincial privacy laws and requirements, i.e., Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act or similar in another jurisdiction.
- Experience developing and delivering Privacy Impact Assessments at a Provincial and/or Federal government level in projects.
- Experience performing research and analysis used to inform recommendations to advance privacy protection.
- Experience reviewing project initiatives to identify information access, privacy issues and opportunities (e.g., duplication of data, security, and privacy, enhance the quality and use of information within government).
- Experience in criminal justice system, correctional settings, and applicable laws, inclusive to both adult and youth cases and custody.
- Experience with information security policies, standards, methods, and best practices
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) in English is required.
- Must be authorized to work in Canada.
- Must reside in Canada for duration of project.
