What You'll Do
Gyptech is seeking a
CNC Boring Mill Operator to join our team

Your role will involve:

Set up and operation of CNC milling machines to manufacture plates and weldments to engineering blueprints for custom industrial equipment
Verify conformance of machined work to specifications, using measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, etc
Study machining instructions, work orders, and drawings to determine dimensional and finish specifications, sequence of operations, setups, and tooling requirements
Select cutting tools according to machining instructions
Observe boring operations to detect malfunctions
Lift work pieces onto worktables either manually or with hoists/cranes (up to 50lbs)
Installing tools and spindles
Document work performed/completed in job sheets
Daily housekeeping of work area and maintaining equipment

This position is based out of our manufacturing facility in Oakville. Hours of work are Monday to Thursday, 6am to 4:30pm with some overtime required.

What You Offer

Minimum 3 years' experience operating a CNC Milling machine in a machine shop setting. Post secondary education in General Machining is an asset.
Proven knowledge and experience of CNC Machining
Knowledge of production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective machining of plates and components
Ability to analyze and interpret engineering drawings
Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
Strong work ethic the ability to work independently
