Description
The HR Records Associate provides HR records administration for the full and part-time employee groups in accordance with collective agreements, pension and benefit plans, terms and conditions of employment, and related legislation.
This includes maintaining accuracy and integrity of HRIS master data (i.e., new hires, master data changes, terminations), records management, and ensuring transfer deadlines between HR and Finance (Payroll) are met.
What You'll be DoingEnsuring employee record and paperwork flow maintenance is complete, accurate, and timely;
Managing initial set up for full time and part time employees and job data changes for all employee events;
Managing sick and vacation leave balances, and running monthly vacation and sick leave accrual process;
Interpreting collective agreements, pension and benefit plans and ensuring Sheridan HRIS adherence to policy and collective agreement requirements;
Executing bi-weekly HR information audits, following up and correcting errors;
Collaborating with Finance (Payroll) to research discrepancies, resolve employee record issues and for analysis and resolution of processing issues;
Providing and managing statistical information based on employee data for purposes of collective bargaining;
Performing other initiatives, projects and duties, as required.
About You
Your demonstrated ability in problem solving, priority setting, and planning allows you to work effectively as a part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
You enjoy balancing many different tasks and can prioritize multiple projects while staying organized and maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
1 year of relevant work experience in HR practices, pension and benefit plans and business requirements. Equivalency will be considered.
Experience with collective agreement administration
Ability to work with high volumes of data
Research, analytical, problem-solving skills, with high standard of accuracy
Knowledge of Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, Freedom of Information etc.
Computer proficiency (MS Office - Advanced Excel, in particular)
Formal training or experience in PeopleSoft or other similar HR/Payroll systems is preferred
