THE OPPORTUNITY:

Arne's Welding is currently seeking an energetic individual for the position of
Plasma Table Operator.

JOB DUTIES:

Create parts program for optimal cutting operations
Select and position material onto plasma table by hand or with crane
Select appropriate cutting tip, electric current, gas pressure and feed according to thickness and type of material
Determine best method to cut workpiece in order to maximize value of drop
Program required instructions
Operate equipment via control panel
Verify conformance of finished product
Establish and operate sheet metal equipment under mínimal supervision to fabricate products as per engineering drawings and parameters.
Perform loading and unloading of material by changing tools and select required machine programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
Knowledge and experience with and set up of machines in a manufacturing setting
Experience with programing at controller or offline would be an asset.
Must be able to meet scheduled demands while maintaining a high level of quality and safety
A strong work history.
Experience working on a production line is a definite asset.
Able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds and stand for an tenhour work shift
Teamoriented and selfdirected

HOURS:

Overtime as required
