In this position you will assist two (2) individuals with developmental disabilities to enrich their quality of life in their home and community.

Hours:
Monday to Friday 4:00pm-9:00 pm; total of 25 awake hours per week.

In your role you will:

̈ Connect with and develop helping relationships with an individual with disabilities

̈ Act as a strong advocate for an individual in the community

̈ Work effectively as a team with the individual and their support team to help achieve their goals

̈ Case management; including support plan development and implementation

̈ Complete daily documentation

̈ Support and participate in recreation and leisure activities

̈ Perform administrative and cleaning duties relating to the operation of the home

̈ Participate in on-going program development

̈ Completion of High School diploma

̈ One (1) year experience working within the Human Services field;
demonstrated case management skills
̈ Equivalencies may be considered

̈ Security Clearance Check; including the Vulnerable Persons Sector Check (from within the last 6 months)

̈ Emergency First Aid-Level A CPR + AED

̈ Valid Class 5 drivers license, current drivers abstract, a reliable vehicle and auto insurance
are required
̈ Ability to assist with personal care

̈ Strong verbal and written communication skills

̈ Computer/Word processing skills

̈ Ability to implement approved restrictive practices

̈ Desire to see individuals succeed

Starting Rate of Pay:
$24.56-$26.06 per hour; depending on experience
