    Material flow throughout the manufacturing facility
    Understand all levels of inventory – Lower Level, Raw, WIP, FG, Resale.
    Forklift training

    Diligently adheres to all company policies and procedures regarding safety and ensures that all employees throughout the plant do the same.

    Administers emergency first-aid treatment and, when necessary, ensures appropriate medical attention is obtained.
    All SWPs and related training must be updated/controlled.
    The Supervisor ensures that all aspects of product Quality are understood and achieved:
    Ensure the quality of storage, packaging and loading of product for transport as related to both inbound and outbound loads (Shipping/Receiving)

    Communicate regularly with internal and/or external customers to establish and maintain a clear understanding of their needs pertaining to product quality, disseminating this information throughout the department as appropriate.

    Review all Shipping/Receiving related concerns with crew members during the Huddle process and seek their input regarding potential solutions to prevent the problem from reoccurring.

    Ensure that all quality checks are completed by operating personnel as required.

    Work closely with Quality Control (Lab Services) and ensure the timely hold/release from hold material, as it pertains to outbound shipments.

    Follow up on all customer complaints in a timely manner.
    Follow up on all concerns related to goods being received at Winpak's facility.
    Oversee and provide support for all Forklift training.

    Work with the applicable Forklift trainer to ensure all training plans are up to date and in compliance with the required safety standards.

    Oversee and provide support in the maintenance of Forklifts, Batteries, and Chargers.

    Ensure that Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse is achieving the established targets for Productivity :

    Assist the department manager in establishing clearly defined department goals, objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the department and make an active contribution to achieving them.

    Report on the performance of the crew and department on a daily, weekly and monthly basis as determined by the manager.

    Monitor individual employee performance, ensuring that they have the required training, equipment and materials to perform their jobs safely and effectively.

    Take timely actions to improve employee performance. Record and categorize all overtime incurred on a monthly basis.
    Support/Direct internal transfers of materials between Winpak's primary facility and local off-site warehouse locations.
    Hold regular Huddle meetings to review department KPIs and solicit employee suggestions to improve performance. Review shipping and receiving schedules on a regular basis and make recommendations to increase departmental effectiveness.
    Assist Purchasing and Accounts Payable with Receipt discrepancies.
    The Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse Supervisor is also responsible for the completion of a number of Administrative tasks .
    Administrative duties include, but are not limited to:
    When on dayshift, attend the morning production meeting and report on department status.
    Responsible for updating the payroll system for the crew, recording the work schedule.
    Monitors employee performance. Gives meaningful performance reviews to employees by the designated date of the review.
    Participate in the development and implementation of training and cross-training programs for all employees. Ensure that all training is properly documented.
    Administers company policy and the collective agreement as required, including disciplinary procedures.
    post-secondary education an asset.
    Experience within a Shipping or Warehouse environment, with knowledge of inventory processes and recycling processes.
    Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization in writing and verbally.

    Computer literate, familiar with PC-based programs such as Word and Excel as well as the ability to learn and utilize computer-based production management tools (Movex).

    Ability and willingness to take courses related to Shipping/Distribution and Warehousing.
    Ability and willingness to work rotating shifts.
