  • Secondary School Diploma and one (1) year relevant postsecondary diploma.
  • Minimum two (2) years' experience in an administrative or office environment.
  • Experience with a Student Information System, scheduling, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook,
  • Email and working knowledge of general office equipment.

Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Principal of Special Education, the Secretary is responsible to provide secretarial

support while maintaining integrity and confidentiality of information and assist with the preparation and

submission of Ministry of Education reports.

Duties and Responsibilities:
to students, teachers and parents with respect to attendance.

Teams.

  • Responsible for the maintenance of Special Education records, compilation of data for submission of reports to
the Ministry of Education.

  • Receive, peruse, sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and faxes, file accordingly.
  • Prepare correspondence, memos, reports, forms, agendas and faxes.
  • Respond to telephone inquiries and direct calls appropriately.
  • Arrange and schedule meetings and appointments.
  • C
reate/Update Digital Special Education Documents.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Principal of Special Education, which are consistent with the above job summary.

Qualifications:

  • Secondary School Diploma and one (1) year relevant postsecondary diploma.
  • Minimum two (2) years' experience in an administrative or office environment.
  • Experience with a Student Information System, scheduling, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook,
  • Email and working knowledge of general office equipment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills for report writing and parental contact.
