Master Drilling Ltd. is looking for
_a Payroll Administrator _to work out of our Val Caron location.


MASTER DRILLING LTD.
Monday to Friday - 40 hours week

Salary - $50,000 - $60,000 per annum, commensurate with experience

Duties and responsibilities

  • Provide administration of payroll and remittance accounts in compliance with legislated policies and procedures
  • Calculate overtime, shift premiums, vacation payments, deductions, and statutory remittances
  • Process wage and salary increases as required
  • Receive, verify, and process time and attendance data from various work sites throughout Canada
  • Submit payroll remittances to the government and other agencies
  • Enroll new hires, process leaves, and manage departures in the payroll software
  • Administration of all Records of Employment, payroll advices, and tax forms
  • Maintain payroll records and work closely with Human Resources to ensure complete personnel files
  • Other administrative and accounting duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


Mandatory requirements

  • Completion of post secondary education in accounting, business, human resources management or related field.
  • One (1) year of experience working directly in a payroll function
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 suite of software

Assets

  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation
  • Experience with ADP payroll software

Other Requirements & General Working Conditions

  • A satisfactory criminal records check is mandatory prior to hiring
  • Demonstrated knowledge of legislative requirements associated with payroll
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments
  • Work well in a fastpaced atmosphere
  • Must be able to work under pressure with competing deadlines
  • Have good problemsolving skills
  • Must be a team player and have excellent oral and written communication skills
