Description
SPS is seeking a
Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Alliston.

This position will have a high level of exposure to all areas of our operations and will include all the aspects of the Human Resources function.


Responsibilities

  • Dealing with any Employment Standards Act and/or any applicable legislation issues
  • Lead full cycle employee relations investigations including corrective actions
  • Support in full cycle Leave of Absence administration
  • Liaise and guide floor management to support progressive discipline process
  • Support the processing vacation requests and attendance management program.
  • Reporting, including data collection, analysis, conclusion/recommendations
  • Support company programs
  • Support internal audits as required
  • Enforce and update company policies
  • Support of the full cycle recruitment process for both warehouse and corporate associates.
  • Special projects when required by Human Resources Management

Skills

  • Working experience and knowledge of the current Employment Standards Act and all applicable legislation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Experience working with an HRIS system
  • General knowledge of employee benefit and pension plans
  • General knowledge of payroll principles

Qualifications

  • 35 years experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Solid experience in the field of human resources
  • Certification in Human Resources Management (Degree or Post-Secondary)
  • CHRP/CHRL in progress or completed (considered an asset)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
