- Programing and scheduling of the various pieces of CNC equipment within the metal processing area. Including, plasma torch, Laser, Press brakes and Rolls.
- Focus on manufacturing products in the most efficient manner while increasing factory throughput and output.
- Focus on continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.
- Work closely with programming and scheduling manager to ensure an accurate short and long term plan to meet the needs of the metal processing customers.
- Ensure material utilization is better than the prescribed requirement, if not must raise issue to the manager
- Generate reports indicating machine performance and material utilization
- Follow standard operating procedures as defined by manager and give input and suggestions on ways to improve
- Monitor loading on each piece of equipment and shift work between work centers to maintain a level load, shortest lead time and effective use of raw materials.
- Other duties, relevant to the position, shall be assigned as required.

- Can read drawings
- Technical training such as mechanical technologist diploma or engineering degree would be an asset
- Preference given to individuals Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) accreditation

- Experience with nesting software with preference to experience in Sigmanest and Trumpf software.
- Proficient in CAD software with preference to experience in Solidworks.
- Basic knowledge of MRP systems and inventory management

- Technical training such as mechanical technologist diploma or engineering degree would be an asset
