Whyte's Foods is a family-owned food processing business that began in
1892 and is the largest producer of pickles, relish and maraschino cherries in Canada. We are currently looking to hire Spice Attendant (Cook assistant) at our location in Wallaceburg


Main responsibilities:


  • Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Spice Attendant is responsible for measuring and mixing ingredients and assist the Cooks.

General responsibilities:


  • Make mixtures of ingredients according to the recipes;
  • Ensure to follow all recipe steps (CCP, mixes)
  • Report to the lab any issue with recipes
  • Ensure quality of raw material include in the recipe; advise the lab if issue
  • Complete production documents;
  • Ensure the cleaning of the workspace;
  • Follow all Company policies (GMP's, Code of conduct, H & S, etc.)
  • Strong math skills.
  • Able to work 10hours shifts rotating days and afternoons.
  • Able to follow recipes / directions.
  • Be detailed orientated.
  • Able to complete required documents accurately.
  • Previous experience in a food production facility considered an asset.
