West Fraser offers a range of exciting career opportunities for individuals seeking challenging and rewarding careers. Our Toronto division is currently recruiting for a Master Data Control Analyst (15-month Contract).


Reporting to the Master Data Control Manager, the Master Data Control Analyst is responsible for the control, analysis and reporting of West Frasers Operational Master Data.

This individual will be the primary analyst on the Master Data Project team, focused on improving West Fraser's operational system's data.


This role is currently on-site (3 days in the office).

You'll Do:


  • Perform data profiling, data analysis, data extraction, transformation and load
  • Develop and maintain relational database reporting & data management workflows
  • Investigate root causes of data integrity issues and recommend remediation approaches
  • Support the implementation of a centralized data management solution for the ongoing control of master data additions and changes
  • Coordinate with project / data stakeholders to align on approved definitions for key master data parameters and standards
  • Perform data quality audit and prepare data metrics
  • Complete documentation of data standards, business rules, and standard procedures
  • Manage service requests for data and reports within planned and agreed timelines
  • Drive integration and adoption of master data concepts and standards
  • Consult and advise the business on master data management best practices and strategies

You have:


  • University degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field required
  • Highly proficient with SQL language and database management
  • Experience in Power BI/DAX and Python
  • Experience with developing macros and automation within Excel
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft ecosystem including SharePoint and Teams
  • Prior knowledge of Maximo and/or Oracle EBS considered an asset
