Food and Beverage Server - Brantford, Canada - The WORKS Craft Burgers & Beer
Description
We are looking for a lovely person with a bold and dazzling personality to join our team as things ramp up in the New Year Specifically we are looking for someone who is not shy when it comes to making recommendations of our delicious mouth-watering menu options.
We are looking for someone who genuinely cares about guest experience in its entirety. And very importantly, we are looking for someone that knows how toHUSTLE. This is non-negotiable. There is always something to do in a restaurant, whether we are busy or slow.
When we're busy, we give you the # of tables you've proven yourself to handle (no limits, as long as guests are well taken care of).
There is great potential for money to be made here._ We have fantastic operating hours... we close at 10pm every day.
Your shift will consist of preparing for any rush, providing thoughtful and genuine service to our guests, tackling problems head-on, assisting your team members (they will be sure to do the same), help with takeout, tasks to maintain cleanliness and sanitation and other ad hoc items.
Some shakes and alcoholic drinks will be prepared/handled by yourself - having your
Smart Serve is mandatory under Ontario law.
Qualifications:
- You MUST have the ability to learn the entire menu: you will not be able to serve solo without passing the menu test, because we strongly believe a guest experience is affected by knowledge of our product.
- Experience in a fullservice restaurant would be preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.
- The ability to talk
a lot :
) There's a lot of burgers to talk about, and we wanna see your confidence shine You MUST be able to hold a conversation with anybody, confidence is an absolute must.
- Natural salesmanship. Do you find you're passionate about things you like and love to talk about it? You don't need to have worked at a car dealership to meet this requirement, just a natural love to recommend.
- The ability to remain busy; restaurants have volatile levels of volume, can you keep yourself busy with mínimal direction during offpeak times, and then suddenly multitask if we get a sudden rush and there's takeout to be packed?
- Problemsolving skills. You are empowered to take the first steps with respect to solving a guest issue, and we want to know you are comfortable taking charge of a situation. Often the way an issue is handled can turn a guest into a raving fan.
- We mentioned
hustle earlier, but it bears repeating.
We recognize this is not a one-way street - Please feel free to ask us any questions about what we do We'd love to chat with you.
