Community Youth Program Facilitator

Full Time, Fixed Term (until March 31, 2024)
**Downtown Community Hub, 301 Vaughan St.
Help fulfill our mission by delivering inclusive, engaging, and relevant children, youth, and
family programming. Reporting to the Community Hub Manager, you will facilitate the
delivery of and actively engage in all relevant programming within the Downtown Hub. This
will include children and families programming, community youth drop-in programming, and
other recreational community programs targeted at youth as well as funded programs. You
will also build and maintain external relationships and connections to identify areas where
youth programming would benefit the community.

Are you the right fit?

  • Foster, establish, and maintain effective external relationships & partnerships
  • Communicate with and provide proposals & reports to funding agencies
  • Deliver programs which emphasize fun, fitness, skill development, physical literacy,
health (social, mental, emotional, physical), and well-being

  • Able to delivery and provide leadership to a variety of children's programs and
services including family events and day camp

  • Actively engage and facilitate registered, funded, and dropin programs
  • Provide coaching, training, and feedback to program employees
  • Biweekly scheduling and payroll administration

What else do you need?

  • Postsecondary education in recreation, kinesiology, social services, or related field.
Experience will be considered in lieu of educational requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in supporting cultures of inclusivity and belonging
  • Strong relationship building, conflict resolution, and problemsolving skills
  • Solid knowledge of program delivery for children, youth, and families with a
minimum of 2 years experience

  • 1+ years of experience leading a team of frontline delivery employees
  • Experience using a database is an asset
